So many

We have at least 20 kids at every practice. Not all of them are even on the roster, but they keep coming out. How do you turn them away?

The best thing is, it's not really a problem. No one disrupts the practices, the guys all work hard and push each other to get better. Now that we're 3 games into the season, they see the benefits. They're starting to understand why we do what we do. They're starting to understand that there's more to being a successful soccer team than just showing up, throwing on a jersey, and playing.

I want to see as many of these guys play on their high school (and some in middle school) teams as possible. I want to see some of them move on to play in the NPSL, PDL, USL, MLS, or abroad. More importantly, I want to see as many of them as possible go on to be happy and successful in life, whether it's on or off a soccer field.

I'm just glad to be able to share a positive activity with these kids, even if it's just for 90 minutes twice each week. It's a start, and it's definitely worth my time.
